Who We Are

Not a department.
A community that shows up.

Turbotville Volunteer Fire Company has stood at 267 Broadway Street as a pillar of our community for decades. We are not a professional department with shift rotations — we are teachers, mechanics, farmers, and parents who grab our gear whenever the bell rings.

Our members respond to structure fires, vehicle accidents, medical emergencies, and natural disaster relief across Turbotville and neighboring townships. We train year-round so that when seconds count, we are ready.

We operate on volunteerism, community support, and a deep commitment to the people who call this corner of Pennsylvania home. That is the tradition we carry forward every single day.

What We Do

Protection that comes
from people who live here

Fire Suppression

Structure fires, vehicle fires, and wildland interface incidents — our trained volunteers respond swiftly with the right equipment and training.

Emergency Medical Response

Many of our volunteers hold EMT certifications and respond to medical calls alongside fire suppression, bridging the gap until specialized ambulances arrive.

Rescue & Extrication

Vehicle extrication, technical rescue, and hazardous materials incidents — we carry the tools and maintain the skills to handle complex emergencies.

Fire Prevention & Inspection

We conduct residential and commercial fire safety inspections, install smoke alarms for residents in need, and educate the public on prevention.

Community Mutual Aid

We provide mutual aid to surrounding townships and counties, and we welcome assistance from neighboring departments when the call is big.

Public Education

School visits, station tours, fire safety workshops, and youth programs — we invest in the next generation of fire-safe community members.

Get Involved

You don't need to be a hero.
You just need to care.

Whether you want to patrol the lines as a full volunteer firefighter, support from the sidelines as a member, or simply lend a hand at a community event — there is a place for you here.

We provide all training. You bring your time, your dedication, and your willingness to show up when your neighbors need you most. No experience required — just a heart for service.
